The Story of Us

I have decided to start a blog now that I am graduated and have time! Jordan and i met in the fall of 2007, we had both graduated from high school while attending our first semester at SUU. We lived in the same apartment complex and met one night through a mutual friend playing pool. Things definitely didn't work out to make us fall deeply in love that semester and when Jordan left on his mission to the California Roseville Mission neither one of us really cared if we would ever see one another again. Jordan left on his mission and I did my thing with school and traveling.

Jordan got home from his mission on Christmas Eve 2009, he found me on facebook and since I was still at SUU and he was going there for spring semester we hung out a few times and over time fell in love. To make a long story short after 3 months of "hanging out" we went on a hike to Angles Landing where Jordan decided he was in love with me and then told me two nights later that he loved me and wanted to marry me.....this was a shock for me because I didn't even know we were a couple!

Jordan left for the summer to sell pest control in Omaha Nebraska...it was not the easiest time in our relationship. We fought over the phone all the time due to my high emotions and hormones, I'll admit it was because of me now but I would not admit it then! I flew out to Omaha for a few days to be together and it was so nice seeing one another. We looked for rings because we knew we wanted to get married soon after he got back home. This is us at the zoo.

After a long summer we both returned back to SUU. We continued to talk about marriage but since I wanted a spring wedding and didn't want a long engagement we decided to wait on the engagement. Although we had decided to wait we went and picked out a ring together and Jordan proposed much sooner than expected because he couldn't wait once he got the ring! We got engaged on October 3, 2010 up Cedar City Canyon on the Virgin Rim Trail.

Initially we had decided to wait until spring to get married but after being engaged for 2 months we knew we did not want to wait much longer, we moved up the date to January 28th and threw the wedding together over Christmas break so I wouldn't have to worry about it during school. Our families and friends were so helpful and the day was amazing!

Since we got married on a Friday during the school year we had to wait until Spring break to go on a honeymoon, we went to San Diego California and loved our first vacation together! We went to six flags, whale watching, tide pooling, to the beach of course, and to the San Diego Temple. It was such a fun trip!

Jordan and I love being married, it is so nice to be able to go home and spend time with the one you love. We're best friends and I'm so grateful that he is mine forever! The best decision I ever made was marrying him in the temple (and he better say the same thing!!!)!
